PIANISSIMO
a soft familiar hum
the steady gaze of a distant star
the purity at the center of the heart
sincerity is a silent thunder
clear and clean like deep well water
my heart goes out to the suffering
of my dear friends
there are no words of comfort
there is only the fine silvery note
of the flute
a warm human breath
made beautiful
that winds its way into the broken places
and stops the bleeding
